I wouldnt be surprised to see Ricciardo take either Buemi or Alguersuari's place by the end of 2011

Or earlier. Alguersuari doesn't cut it, I think.

Oh, I was thinking more Buemi, He's had long enough and he hasnt impressed, i reckon Alguersuari will be good in the future

I kind of think either would be replaced before next season if Red Bull had any doubts, neither have impressed and so they can only get better. Given the faith put in them to do so, surely they'll be given the whole season?

Am I right in thinking that Jaime only scored points this year because of the new points system down to 10th place?

Two ninth's and a tenth for cut 'n' paste, Buemi had an 8th, 9th and two 10th place finishes

So it would have been a solitary point for Toro Rosso based on last year's points system - they really did become anonymous in 2010.

It seems that Loeb was refused a licence to drive for Toro Rosso in Abu Dhabi in 2009.

Some confirmation of drivers as the FIA release the 2011 entry list.
Red Bull, McLaren, Ferrari, Mercedes and Lotus retain their line-ups while Kubica and Barrichello remain at their respective teams and Kobayashi is of course joined by Perez.

More importantly, Renault remain Renault F1 Team and Tony Fernandes' outfit will Team Lotus - battle won?

Meanwhile, Virgin are confirmed as being Marussia Virgin Racing next year

Well if it was ok for Schumi to take no 3 why not Button?

That's not the point
It's usual to base it on the previous season - Mercedes had a reason for changing that (daft as it was), what is McLaren's reason?

Hamilton was always quick on even number years?? Apart from this year I guess...

I don't think even McLaren can change what year it is next year

Funny. Just to clarify I meant that 2007 he was 2, 2008 22. 2 good years. 2009 number 1, bad year. 2010 I just realised he was number 2 and had a good year. Therefore being even number 4 means he is due for a good year :D

So you're saying he's superstitious about even numbers- the anti-Schumacher?

It's possible - number 3 didn't seem to do Schumacher any favours!

It might just be part of McLaren's "we treat our drivers equally" mantra and they'll tell us they tossed a coin but it's bound to be a question that is asked...

Maybe it's just aesthetics - the guy with the yellow helmet gets the yellow camera, the guy with lots of red in his helmet gets the red camera?
Maybe Ron Dennis is still in charge after all? :-D

Alphabetical order, perhaps?
Or the fact that Button was champion more recently than Hamilton?

Hamilton is second driver due to the fact the colour on top is yellow which corresponds to his helmet. he was only 1st driver in 2008/9 because Heikki isnt that great. McLaren want the equality thing so they just do this system because the colours match

I suspect the battle is far from won.
I think Fernandes has just responded to the messages of support from fans and decided to fight Lotus Group.
Still, at least Renault will be Renault - one hurdle out of the way.
