Hispania Racing (HRT F1)

One of three new teams on the grid for 2010, Hispania, or HRT as the FIA prefers to know them as, has had a rough journey. Originally chosen as Campos Meta, a collaboration between former Formula 1 driver and F3 team owner, Adrian Campos and Meta Image, a sports marketing company that produces and manages sport events before being taken over by Spanish financier Jose Ramon Carabante prompting a last minute piece of rebranding. The car itself is being designed and built by the experienced Italian company, Dallara, which should put them on a solid base for challenging the other newcomers, assuming the finances add up. The legendary name of Senna will also grace the team, as the famous Brazilian's nephew, Bruno, picks up a race seat.

Bruno Senna, the nephew of the legendary Ayrton Senna, joins Formula 1 in 2010 carrying the weight of his lineage on his shoulders. After his uncle died at Imola in 1994, Bruno quit go-kart racing at his mother's insistence but later returned as an adult, quickly progressing through the lower categories. 2009 could have been his year until Honda pulled out of F1, but after a year sitting on the sidelines finally gets his chance.
