This week’s offering of Caption This… features Virgin Racing’s Jérôme d’Ambrosio showing off his helmet in Monte Carlo. It’s been busy period for the Russian-but-British-based outfit in recent weeks with rumours that d’Ambrosio’s sponsors hadn’t paid up, Canadian Robert Wickens being signed as reserve driver and finally technical director Nick Wirth being shown the door, potentially spelling the end of the team’s reliance on CFD without windtunnel testing. Formula One’s newest Russian team, and one which they’d probably like us to call Marussia but which we’ll all no doubt continue to call Virgin, revealed their new car today. However, designated the MVR-02 you’ll be hard pressed to see what has changed since the VR-01 last raced in earnest.
