GULF AIR BAHRAIN GRAND PRIX |
30 km south of the Island State’s capital Manama, Sakhir Palace’s tranquil, spacious desert setting remained unchanged for many years even though the discovery of oil in 1928 transformed much of the island. Then came the Grand Prix circuit as well as the University of Bahrain’s main campus while business, entertainment and educational developments continuing to expand. However the wilderness continues to encroach producing a unique stop on Formula One’s tour.
